Zewditu “Ziggy” Mulugeta is a master stylist, entrepreneur, and beauty industry leader with more than two decades of experience transforming hair and empowering women. As the founder of Ziggy Artistry and Z Hair Collection, she has built a luxury brand centered on healthy hair, premium extensions, and expert care for natural and textured hair.

Opening her first salon at just 24, Ziggy quickly became known for her precision, restoration expertise, and ability to blend artistry with education. A graduate of Berkeley College with a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management, she combines technical mastery with strategic business acumen, expanding her portfolio into real estate and multiple revenue streams.

Beyond beauty, Ziggy is also the CEO and Founder of the 501(c)(3) foundation Swim for Yinka, a nonprofit established in honor of her late husband, Dr. Olayinka Akisanya, dedicated to promoting water safety in underserved communities.

Creativity has always been central to Ziggy’s journey. Painting and drawing have long served as a personal outlet—so much so that she had the opportunity to finish high school early, but chose instead to remain and devote time to developing her artistic talents. Art continues to give her peace, serving as a space where she can reflect, reset, and be transported beyond the demands of entrepreneurship.
