Today, an exhibition celebrating the vital, evolving visions of a group of contemporary artists bound by a shared cultural heritage.

To have a “presence” is to be undeniable—to occupy space, to command attention, and to carry history forward into the current moment. The artists in this exhibition do not treat their Italian and Sicilian roots as a distant memory or a rigid tradition. Instead, they use it as a living canvas, infusing modern mediums with a distinct cultural flair.

Through bold colors, rich textures, and sharp contemporary perspectives, these visions collide and converse within these walls. From the grit of the streets to the depths of personal memory, Presenza Oggi invites you to witness how identity is actively shaped, remixed, and celebrated today. They are here, their voices are loud, and their vision is entirely modern.

The work brings together two enduring symbols of Southern Italian heritage: the Neapolitan cornicello and the Sicilian Trinacria. By arranging three cornicelli in the three-armed form of the Trinacria, Ingenito creates a visual bridge between Naples and Sicily—uniting symbols of protection, resilience, good fortune, and centuries of tradition.

The piece celebrates a shared Mediterranean heritage and the idea that strength and protection are reinforced through unity, transforming these historic symbols into a contemporary expression of identity, fortune, and continuity.
