Jo Jayson

British born Jo Jayson is a self-taught, intuitive painter, teacher and author. She is internationally known and acclaimed for her work on the ‘Sacred Feminine’ and is the author of the award-winning book ‘Self-Love Through the Sacred Feminine’ and her accompanying oracle deck. Through her paintings, she represents the feminine in empowering and spiritual themes. She teaches self-healing, and self-development to women worldwide, and sells her paintings, prints, oracle decks, and meditation tools nationally and around the world.  She has lived in New York for over 25 years and continues to expand her work on the Feminine with a new ‘Zodiac’ series in progress and the beginning of a ‘Sacred Landscape’ series

 Painting for me has always been an act of deep intimate connection with myself and life. It has been my meditation and my prayer, my voice and my message to the world. For many years now my work has represented the energy of the feminine, to inspire women to rise up, heal and become empowered within themselves. This ’Sacred Feminine’ can be found in nature and all living things and as women, we reflect it and are beautiful expressions of it.  I primarily use water-based oils, gold leaf and sometimes collage in my paintings.  My work is ever changing and evolving whether it be expressing the female form, the bird in our backyard or the landscape around us. If I can evoke a sense of wonder and beauty, gentleness and strength in these sacred things, then I have succeeded.
